L'achat en ligne permet de gagner du temps lors de l'enregistrement et constitue le seul moyen de garantir votre entr\u00e9e sur le terrain. L'achat en ligne est \u00e9galement plus \u00e9conomique et vous permet d'\u00eatre servi en premier au comptoir d'enregistrement.<\/p>\n

Nous nous r\u00e9servons le droit de limiter le nombre de billets disponibles sur place et vous pourriez \u00eatre refoul\u00e9 si vous arrivez sans billet. Ceci est particuli\u00e8rement vrai les week-ends de forte affluence.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Toute personne de plus de 5 ans doit poss\u00e9der un billet \u00ab\u00a0Picking\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00ab\u00a0Looking\u00a0\u00bb. Votre groupe peut combiner les billets pour obtenir le nombre total de fleurs que vous souhaitez cueillir.<\/p>\n

Par exemple, un groupe de 5 personnes, compos\u00e9 de 2 adultes et de 3 enfants de 3, 6 et 10 ans, souhaite cueillir 3 bouquets. Ce groupe devra acheter 3 tickets \u00ab\u00a0Picking\u00a0\u00bb et 1 ticket \u00ab\u00a0Looking\u00a0\u00bb. Chacun peut participer \u00e0 la cueillette des 3 bouquets\u00a0; l'enfant de 3 ans n'a pas besoin de ticket.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Nous avons mis en place des tickets d'arriv\u00e9e chronom\u00e9tr\u00e9s afin de r\u00e9duire les embouteillages au parking, \u00e0 l'enregistrement et au poste d'emballage. <\/i>I am an amateur photographer. Do I need a \"Photography\" ticket to take photos?<\/a><\/h3>

No, if you are taking photos for your own enjoyment and are not taking photos for monetary gain, then you need only purchase our regular “Looking” or “Picking” tickets. We use the honour system and ask that you make this determination yourself.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i>Help, I need to change my ticket!<\/a><\/h3>

\r\n\t\t

Tickets are non-refundable, except at our discretion. We may include a $2 processing fee to cover the charges from our credit card processor. There may be a price difference payable upon visit.<\/p>\n

To request for a ticket change<\/p>\n

  1. Please respond to the ticket confirmation email<\/strong> you received<\/li>\n
  2. Suggest a new date\/time<\/li>\n
  3. Or indicate you would like to convert a tulip ticket to a summer ticket (extra charges may apply)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Keep in mind that because we offer seasonal flowers, the flowers you might be looking forward to picking may no longer be in season if you choose to visit us at a later date.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    <\/i>Are dogs and pets allowed in the fields?<\/a><\/h3>

    Yes! We love seeing furry friends! Please keep your pets on leash and away from flowers they may damage. Additionally, please keep an eye on your pets as many flowers that we grow are not safe for them to eat.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    <\/i>Are you closed when it is raining?<\/a><\/h3>

    We only close for severe weather like nearby lightning. Please keep in mind the weather where you are may not be the weather where we are! Please consult the radar map and not just the forecast. We are just outside of the city of Ottawa so quite often the weather in the city is different than in our fields. Check our website and social media for updates.<\/p>\n

    Please don’t let a grey sky stop you from visiting! The dreary skies make the bright flowers seem brighter and the gentle lighting makes for better photos. Wear your rain boots and borrow one of our umbrellas to still have a fun time.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    <\/i>When is the best time to visit?<\/a><\/h3>

    \r\n\t\t

    Anytime is a good time to visit as our fields are big enough that you can always get space from other visitors and there are always new flowers blooming. However, we are less busy on weekdays than we are on the weekends. If you want the best flower selection in the summertime, visit on a Friday morning. We are closed Tuesday to Thursday during the summer and so that means there are a few days of blooms that have not yet been picked.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    <\/i>Do I need to bring my own tools to pick flowers?<\/a><\/h3>

    Nope!<\/p>\n

    Tulips are pulled straight from the ground so only hands are required. No other tools are required and we may ask you to put them back in your car if we see them. For the summer flowers, we have clippers for you to use while you are here.<\/p>\n

    You are welcome to bring your own pail for flowers, but we also have flower picking baskets available for on-site use.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    <\/i>Do u-pick tulips include the bulb?<\/a><\/h3>

    Nope! Bulbs are not included.<\/p>\n

    Bulbs are not planted in the spring, they are planted in the fall. Bulbs pulled from our field are clipped off at the wrapping station and are discarded to reduce the chance of disease spread. If you would like to keep the bulbs from your picked tulips, they are for sale for 25 cents each. Keep in mind that they are not likely to bloom for 3-5 years because the greenery has been clipped off the bulb. They are more likely to become squirrel food than a bloom in your garden.<\/p>\n

    We sell bulbs in fall, which are new bulbs, not the bulbs that we dig out of our field. We do not dig up our field’s bulbs.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    <\/i>Can I bring food or a picnic to the field?<\/a><\/h3>

    Yes! We have picnic tables to help extend your stay. We do not normally have on-site concessions, but we occasionally have food trucks. Please, no portable BBQs.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    <\/i>When are some of the different flowers in bloom?<\/a><\/h3>

    \r\n\t
    \r\n\t\t

    The short tulip season begins sometime in May. The season lasts for only 2 weeks, so don’t wait on visiting! Our opening day has ranged from the beginning of May all the way to the third week of May!<\/p>\n

    Snapdragons bloom next, starting late June or July until August. Zinnias and the rest of the flowers start late July.<\/p>\n

    Our sunflowers are planted so that we have blooms from late July until the first frost in September or October. Our sunflowers are not one big field of all of the same variety, but the field is planted in smaller sections with different varieties and colours of sunflowers. Sections of sunflowers will finish blooming while other patches of sunflowers are in full bloom and yet others are still making buds for new blooms.<\/p>\n

    Flowers come and go based on the natural cycles of their growth. You may find some beds in full bloom and other beds newly planted. This is the nature of seasonal farming. Each visit brings new flowers in bloom.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    <\/i>Do you grow....?<\/a><\/h3>

    Dahlias, Gladiolus, and Eucalyptus. Yes! They are in a special fenced in area and must be picked by us. We prioritize their use in our subscription bouquets, Grab&Go bouquets, and for special orders. These flowers are expensive to grow, require a lot of labour to grow, and have special picking instructions. We do not want to risk their damage by a careless snip, pet, or kid.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    <\/i>How do I make my flowers last as long as possible?<\/a><\/h3>
