U-Pick Ticket Policies
- To ensure entry, tickets should be pre-purchased online. If tickets are sold out, entry may not be possible.
- Tickets are only valid for the appointment date & time indicated on the ticket. You may arrive any time during this time period and stay as long as you would like until closing time.
- U-Pick tulips do not include the bulb. Pre-orders for bulbs are available online starting during the u-pick season and continuing until the end of October. Bulbs are available for pick up or delivery starting in late September.
- Bouquet wrapping supplies are included.
- Flower picking baskets are provided.
- Tickets are non-refundable unless we close for extreme weather. Check Facebook and Instagram for updates. Refunds are at our discretion and are subject to a $2 fee per ticket or bouquet.
- We are open rain or shine. The weather where you are may not be the same where we are! Be sure to wear proper footwear and bring rain gear if the weather requires it.
- There are picnic tables available. Bringing a lunch or snack is a great way to enjoy the flowers a little bit longer! Please, no portable BBQs.
At the farm and in the fields
- No tools are needed to pick tulips as they are pulled right from the ground. Snippers for picking other flowers in the summer are provided.
- When picking tulips, the bulb should remain in the ground so as not to disturb or damage the surrounding tulips. If they get pulled up they will be snipped off when wrapping your bouquet. Bulbs are not included with your ticket as bulbs are replanted in the fall. If you would like to keep the bulb, they can be purchased at an additional cost.
- The summer flowers have special picking instructions. Please come chat with us to learn the best time and techniques for picking these flowers in your bouquets.
- Should you find a picked flower left in the field, please bring it to us at the wrapping station and it will not be included toward your flower count. This helps keep the field tidy for others.
- Once you pick a flower, do not put it back in the ground. It will not survive and makes the field look messy for other visitors.
- Please be aware that your flowers may look wilted for the first half-day or so after being cut. They will perk back up after being in water for a few hours.
- Tripods for photography are allowed but no reflectors, light stands, props etc.
- Drones are permitted, just let us know when you are in the field.
- The mosquitoes can be quite hungry, especially during the tulip season. We spray a natural garlic solution around the field to deter the mosquitoes.
- Please respect that the farm is also a private residence. Please do not visit when we are closed.
- Well mannered pets are permitted as long as they remain leashed and do not trample the flowers. Please be aware that tulips and many other flowers are poisonous to dogs.
Parking and Accessibility
- Parking is on a farm field. If it is a rainy day, it will get muddy.
- Parking is at your own risk.
- We recommend leaving the fancy sports car at home due to low ground clearance. Please go slow and obey directional signage!
- The farm is not paved and can be uneven and muddy when wet. Some of the paths are wide enough to accommodate mobility aids and strollers, but it is not always easy to maneuver.
- Rideshares: please be aware that you can usually get a ride with ride share companies out to the farm, but that it is difficult to get a ride back even with a pre-booked ride. You may need to wait a long time for a return ride. There are no buses or taxi stands in the area.
Groups
- Please email us to arrange for groups of at least 15 as we may offer discounts for your group.
- You may be sharing the field with other customers.
- Since we are on Mother Nature’s schedule, we cannot guarantee the dates that we are open. We will offer you dates to reschedule if we are not open on your event date.
